Hello everybody.

A lot of time has passed since my last post. During this time, I’ve had not only good days but also many days with numerous internal struggles, including sorrows, thoughts, fears, and physical pain, which sometimes overwhelmed me. Living in a “paradise” doesn’t mean that everything is fine and problems don’t exist. Even in paradise, there can be challenges. The constant heavy rain didn’t help either.

But now, I feel like I have overcome my inner crisis and see the light at the end of the tunnel. The sun has been shining for the last nine days, with only occasional rain. I’ve been outside from morning until afternoon every day. This last week has been vastly different from all the others.

Last week, I started practicing Acro Yoga. Since I saw it for the first time, it has fascinated me, but I haven’t had the confidence to try it myself. I believed I wouldn’t be strong enough to be the base and too heavy for someone else to hold as the flyer. However, last week, I decided to be brave and give it a try. Being the base felt good, but being the flyer didn’t work out because I had too much fear and couldn’t fully trust my base to hold me. Nonetheless, this week, I gave it another shot, but this time with my personal teacher. It was challenging at first to let go and trust the feeling of falling while relying on someone else to catch me. However, after the lesson, I feel great. It was an exhilarating, fearful, and fantastic experience all at once.

After last week’s lesson, I experienced so much muscle soreness that I could hardly move. I discovered muscles I didn’t even know I had because I had never felt that part of my body before.

I hope that this week, the muscle soreness won’t be as intense as last week, but we’ll see. Nevertheless, I am very happy and proud that I overcame my inner doubts and tried something new, far outside my comfort zone.

Furthermore, I started with Thai Yoga Massage. This is a massage that is practiced with clothes and without oil. The special thing about this kind of massage is that the giver (the one providing the massage) uses their whole body to apply pressure to specific points on the receiver’s body (who lies on a mat). After half an hour, you switch positions. At the beginning, it was really exhausting because you need to use your whole body. But I like it.

I believe I have learned a lot in the past few months.

I’m not sure if I mentioned this in one of my previous German posts, but my initial plan was to stay in Bali until February. Due to Covid, there was a new visa application process, which only allowed ordering if you were staying for the maximum allowed time, not working, and wanted to extend your stay. Unfortunately, this visa application could only be done while you were IN the country. However, a few weeks after learning about this and making plans, my visa agency informed me that the government had canceled this type of visa. Consequently, I must leave Bali in three weeks. I have decided to go to Malaysia for three weeks and then apply for a new visa to return to Bali.
